So how do we get the working class to abandon wanting to work?

So...this is something that in the modern era, I find as a huge stumbling block for fixing American issues, and that's the American working class itself. It's not just America that has this problem, even the working class of Europe kinda goes for this stuff, but the American working class is the worst. Because as we know, many of them see themselves as temporarily abandoned millionaires rather than oppressed wage slaves, and even the ones who understand they're oppressed haven't thought far enough ahead to really work their way out of that oppression mentally. Like, they'll understand "the man" is screwing them, but rather than want to lose their chains, they'll still act as if there's some form of wage labor in which this stuff just works. And that's nonsense. The reality if work is this, we're made propertyless and pushed into desperation to make us seek jobs. There are typically more workers than jobs because 1) capitalism NEEDS to work that way to keep inflation down and 2) it keeps workers desperate. Then workers will work super hard for employers who are interested in profit, and who want to work people as far as possible, while paying them as little as possible. And then we wonder why the system feels so bad. We keep framing the wealthy as "job creators", but no one "creates jobs" to give people a living. The goals of for profit businesses actually run counter to that. But rather than recognize that the system is rotten for what it is, they somehow think they can make the system fairer, and that there's "dignity in work" and blah blah blah.

Even worse, and this is why I kinda have disdain for a lot of the working class at this point, they literally beg for their own servitude. Like I was looking into some country music star because he's gonna be doing a concert with some musician that my parents like, and this dude has a song about automation and AI killing jobs and how he has kids to feed and blah blah blah. like, the thing that annoys me about the working class most is that they know that work sucks, that businesses are abusing them, but at the end of the day, they still beg for their chains.

Even worse, they look at ME with disdain for NOT doing so. They still have this weird martyr mentality about how they work and treat it as a noble sacrifice and if they have to do it everyone should do it and blah blah blah, "dont you understand? there's DIGNITY in work! Why should I have to work so hard while you get an easy life and get crap for free?" (in reference to my UBI ideas). I'd be willing to let bygones be bygones and be willing to admit a difference in opinion and life choices if we can both just get what we want. I actually have nothing against people working for a living. Most people buy into consumerism, and that stuff takes labor to make work. My problem with these guys comes in when they lecture me about THEIR values and insist I have to live my life the way they do. They're a bunch of crabs in a bucket, and they wanna drag me down into their bucket, where we all suffer the same fate. And that's what I hate most about the working class. I understand that SOMEONE needs to work and do the essential jobs. SOME people do. NOT everyone. But SOME people. Some percentage of the population between 0% and 100%. And if those SOME people wanna do it voluntarily, as the social science points out, fine. But dont complain all day about how hard it is and how miserable you are and how much you sacrificed when YOU decided to sign up for it, and then insist it's not fair that I dont wanna do the same thing you do, or have the same attitude you do. Because sure, I resent the idea of work. But I resent the system. I resent the billionaire class. And sadly, if you defend that system, like a dude chained up in plato's cave resents those freed of their chains, and you wanna drag me back down in your BS, then you know what? Im gonna resent YOU too. Which is why I'm writing this sad rant about how much I resent the working class in this country.

Again, it's not that I dont want these people to have a better life. But it's like motherfricker, I'm trying to help you. I understand the system, I understand how it works. How its problems actually intersect with our lives, I wanna help you, but you don't want me to. The second I try to help, you complain about my solutions and cling to your chains. And then you try to drag me down in your crappy attitudes.

Basically, if the working class wasn't a giant pile of crabs in a bucket trying to drag me down, I wouldn't have any problems here. But they are, they do, they're stupid, they don't get it, and they end up just begging for their chains.

Like the automation thing. Automation is GOOD. Freeing people from work is GOOD. Unemployment is only bad because we have a society where we're expected to spend our lives working for rich people. Like that's the norm, that's the expectation, and you're bad if you think differently. And I do think differently. And that's the thing. In a sane society, we'd see the liberation of the working class from work as a good thing. But these guys scream they wanna work, insist that there's dignity in work. They hate AI to the point of luddism, and they frame it as "populism", and again, as I see it, they just keep clinging to their chains, and even worse, trying to drag me down with them.

I really wish people would understand, there's no real "dignity" in work, it's all wage slavery all the way down, we shouldnt wanna work, liberating people from wanting to work is a good thing, and the only reason liberating people from work is bad is because our society is built around this bull#### expectation that the only legitimate way to get money is THROUGH work. I admit, if we want a society where we do away with work, we need a new system of economics. Right now, i still support capitalism, albeit with a UBI. UBI fills in the gaps in the market, gives everyone a universal living standard, and then the essential work is done by voluntary participants in exchange for money that buys them higher living standards. Seems fair does it not? it still rewards work, meritocracy, while ensuring poverty doesnt exist. Nope. Cant have that. That's "socialism" (even though that's something different entirely and also built on weird working class resentment politics). Capitalism is when everyone works hard and socialism is when everyone is lazy and doesnt work. Never mind the fact that, again, socialism is literally another form of work based resentment politics. it involves workers taking over workplaces. Ideally it involves democratic workplaces, but in reality we just get government controlling all industry, which sucks since the government in such an instance can be even more oppressive than the worst employers. It doesnt fix the issue, it just changes who is in charge. Because, again, REAL solutions involve LIBERATING people. But again, these people dont want liberation. They're miserable crabs in a bucket who just want to make things more "fair" in their mind, or who wanna drag people down to be as miserable as them.

And again, that's the problem. I dont wanna be miserable like them. I wanna actually be happy, free, and fulfilled. ugh.

I know, I'm rambling, and I know if I ever run for office the oppo research is gonna have a field day with that one. Although hopefully people will be able to understand my actual points in context. Because, again, it's not about hating the working class for the sake of hating the working class. It's about resenting uneducated people for not wanting liberation from their oppression and instead dragging everyone down to their level of misery. That's what I hate, and that's what drives me absolutely insane about this whole thing. I could feel class solidarity if the rest of my class was actually on the same page as me, they're not. They love their chains too much and it infuriates me.
