Yeah. I'm being a really bad winner over last night. But here's why. When democrats lose elections, people are actually hurt by it. People lose their healthcare, they lose their jobs, they lose their food stamps. peoples' lives are ruined by republicans in power. People are being thrown into concentration camps, being denied due process. We're trying to ban abortion, gay marriage, trans rights, etc. We're getting in wars we have no business being in, we're openly and brazenly funding a genocide to a far greater degree than "Genocide Joe" did (he at least tried to do some damage control). The fact is, your boos mean nothing, we've seen what makes you, on the right, cheer.
Yet, how does MAGA actually make your life better? Odds are, it doesn't. Lower prices? So much for that. Crap is even more expensive now due to tariffs. Care about jobs and job creation? Biden had the best jobs economy in 50 years and it wasn't enough for you people (and to be fair, it wasn't enough for me either, but we know what I'm about). Meanwhile now we're going into a recession. AI is the only thing keeping our economic numbers positive. We're losing jobs, including government jobs. We're eviscerating our safety nets. And while some might be like "yeah but slightly lower taxes", unless youre rich, and in the top 10-20% of the population (and especially top 1%), youre probably not gonna notice a huge difference, and if you are in that top sliver of the population, meh, I'm okay with you paying more so everyone else can live a better life. Our core problem with the economy is it's by and for the rich, while everyone else is expected to work for them for scraps.
For all the issues I have with democrats, I wanna make it clear, outside of some aesthetics around "wokeness" and the insufferable circlejerk of the centrist dems who are what republicans SHOULD be, my problem with them is they dont go far enough. Politics is a team sport for too many people. MAGA is a cult of personality around their orange god. They think by deporting immigrants and tariffing everything they're making their lives better, but guess what, you're making them worse for the most part. The real welfare queens are the red states. Many of those affluent people I pointed out are actually democrats, and many of them are sending money to red states to keep their families fed and needs taken care of, as our economy continues to shed jobs in those areas and there's nothing productive to be done there. And quite frankly, a lot of blue states are getting tired of it. Because it's like, we wanna help you guys, and you guys just seem satisfied in living in crap.
Seriously, your lives aren't even made better by MAGA and its policies, why are you so ride or die on this orange turd in the first place? And yet, I go into MAGA forums and lurk, and I see what you're really about. And it really is the racism. It's still the same crap since the 1960s. You guys will cut off your own nose to spite your face, or to spite anyone with darker skin than you. Racism really IS what drives MAGA, at least the die hards. Not talking about you, swing voters, I got my own bone to pick with you but at least you guys seem to not be in the cult. But that 40% of people that approve of Trump even as the country descends into fascism? Let me ask you this. How does Trump make YOUR life better? Because I ain't seeing it. People might point to immigration and crime. Okay. I live in a majority minority city, I live with the crime too, I get it. The crime is mostly caused by poverty. Poverty is caused by the state not doing enough to help the poor. Because republican ideals require people to get jobs to get money to survive, there arent enough jobs, the jobs suck, they dont pay enough, and people are on welfare anyway even if they work. People steal and the like because the system isnt working for them. The solution to crime is to make the system work better. Besides, the crime epidemic is overstated according to stats anyway, but that's the thing, you guys don't even care about numbers, it's all about feels with you guys, and you guys just seem to hate people with skin colors darker than you.
And, again, I'm on a war path about this because Ive been studying free college, but yeah, racism is one of the reasons we no longer have that. We dont have free college any more and I'm tens of thousands in student debt because you MFers don't want a black person to get an education! You keep cutting off your own nose to spite your face. We abandoned the new deal because you guys decided sticking it to black people is more important than improving your own lives. As a former conservative, I get it if you dont think a policy helps you, and you're opposed to it because it doesn't, and you dislike the dems leaning into race and DEI and blah blah blah, like, I get that. I aint a fan of that crap either. I'm for policies that help people regardless of skin color, including a lot of white people. But then people are obsessed with sticking it to black people and Latinos and you end up voting against your own interests instead. You guys are the same ones who hate Obamacare but don't realize it's the same thing as the ACA, which your own healthcare relies on. Like, Jesus Christ. This is why a lot of liberals fricking HATE you guys. It doesn't have to do with you living in "flyover" territory, or liking country music, or blah blah blah. I mean, I get it to some extent, culturally, you are different than liberals, and often times that doesnt make you bad people. But your active political preferences do make you morally questionable. Conservatism is evil. I'm sorry, it is. It's religious fundamentalism combined with psychotic foreign policy and economic views that rely on giving the rich all of the money, and the rest of us being forced to work for them to survive. There's nothing positive or intellectually stimulating about any of it. And we wish you guys would, you know, act in your own best interests more. And maybe you dont like liberals telling you what is in your interest, but you clearly dont know it yourselves so maybe we have to say it.
But here's the real reason why I'm okay with you guys coping and seething. Because at the end of the day, your life will go on. You will still go to work, collect the same paycheck you always did (or lose it because guess what, those liberal ideas were actually helping you), come home, complain about your job (not realizing we're for labor rights that make that better), screw your spouse, go to church on sunday, and life will go on with you as it always does. Unlike weird fantasies of how liberals wanna prosecute conservatives, we want nothing of the thing, if anything our policies try to make your lives better. I admit, centrists fail at that but that's because they're trying to compromise with you and end up just being ineffective as a result. Point is, life will go on for you, as it always had. But when you guys win, you end up screwing millions of people, out of jobs, healthcare, other safety nets, their rights and civil liberties. Conservatism actually ruins lives. Liberalism rarely does, even if it fails to improve things as much as it could. So...yeah, youre not gonna be hurt by us winning, New York is not gonna become an islamic theocracy or a communist state. Life will go on in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey as it always had. California, some of you guys might be denied fair representation, I admit that, but to be fair, your party FAFOed in Texas, so yeah, kinda brought that on yourselves. Blame Greg Abbott for that one. And yeah.
Honestly, we on the left just wanna make peoples' lives better. You guys regularly oppose us, and some of you guys are genuinely evil and spiteful people. We can debate things around wokeness, I personally think that whole zeitgeist was a disaster, but in an age where we're seeing open racism, sexism, and every "phobia" under the sun not seen since the 1960s, well...yeah, cope and seethe. Wokeness is back! Woo!
