Yeah, I tried being friendly with SJWs and the like over the years, now I'm just outright hostile and declaring war on them more or less. I've had it. I'm sick and tired of these crazies dominating the narrative and gatekeeping what "left" is.
I'm seeing Ana Kasperian getting a lot of flak for being a "right winger" these days. Why? Because she pushes back against the crazies who want to redefine the term woman to "birthing person" and or a vajayjay as "extra hole" or some crap. And honestly, it's obnoxious. Look, we can support trans rights without redefining the entire english language around the genders.
The same goes with Rammstein. Apparently given the accuser's accusations have...run out of steam and there isnt really any evidence of actual wrongdoing against Till Lindemann, the social justice movement is shifting to this weird "imbalance of power" and "evil white men in positions of power" narrative to criticize the idea that the dude wants to have sex with fans. And a lot of people aren't having it. For all the attempts to "cancel" rammstein, it's having about as much success as what happened with hogwarts legacy. Meaning it's backfiring, people are doing what they want anyway, and they're actually more popular than before than anything.
And a lot of leftists are lamenting this, claiming that germany is heading toward fascism as people turn their back on SJWism. I hate how everything is "if you arent one of them, you're a right winger". As an ex fundamentalist christian who shifted left significantly over the course of my life, tell me to the face I'm a right winger. Because I'll laugh at you. And Rammstein? They're a LEFT WING band. Jesus freaking christ these people are dense. Links 234? Deutschland? Angst? All left wing songs with left wing messages.
ANd this is what SJWs dont understand. You can oppose their BS, without being right wing. If anything the idea that anyone who doesnt like them is right wing is actually harmful, because often a lot of anti SJW rabbit holes do lead to right wing ideas, but it's not necessary. And the only reason that happens is because the only people who openly oppose them are often the far right.
But, let's be honest. I understand worldviews. And I can attest that social justice ideology, ie, "postmodernism", is only one strain of left wing thought. And while it has some interesting sociological analyses, I do think it's a fairly harmful approach to politics that does more damage to the left than it is worth. Because it IS alienating, it IS polarizing, and it DOES have a habit of creating circular firing squads among the left. And that's precisely why they need to be opposed by other forms of lefties. To some extent, WE, the SANE lefties, need to save the left from itself. We need to bring things back to the brink of sanity and offer a valid left wing alternative, not just to the SJW left, but also the right in all of its forms. I know i often crap on libs for "triangulating", but on social issues, those are the ones i WISH it was more socially acceptable to triangulate on. The modern left has this problem of being socially far left, but then often being moderate AF on economics. Whereas im moderate on social issues and more left on economics (but even then, not socialist left or old school left, but my own new version of left that's really not super popular either). But yeah, I digress.
The point is, we need to take back the left from the crazies, and push their crazy views out of the overton window while still preserving the progress and liberties that the left has to offer. We need a more traditional humanist form of left over this crazy social justice left. We need to stand for freedom unless one harms others, civil liberties, rule of law, and limited government intervention in peoples' lives. We should be the "gay couples protecting their marijuana plants with their AR15s" kind of guys. We should reject this fundamentalist mob mentality dogmatic left that screams that anyone who defies their doctrines is actually a right winger. Heck, we should embrace the same ethos rammstein themselves pushes, being left wing and tolerant and open to all kinds of social and sexual liberties and lifestyles, without imposing a strict moral code on people. Or ana kasperian. I know I dont agree with her on everything, but many members of TYT are former right wingers, and many of them are trying to grow the left's base and make progressive palatable to normies. They dont want to alienate and scare people off with this social justice nonsense. They just want straight, pragmatic progressive ideas that work. Again, I don't always agree with them. I know ana has crapped on UBI before while pushing jobs programs and nonsense like that. But, outside of that, we can find a lot of common ground on a lot of topics.
Quite frankly, people like till lindemann and ana kasperian represent my politics more than the social justice nutjobs ever will. Some might think im a craplib or even a right winger for saying that, but once again, as an ex-actual right winger, I will just say, you know nothing. If you cant differentiate between these people and fascists and fundies, then you are lost. If anything, my complaint is that depsite being on opposite sides of the spectrum, due to horseshoe theory these guys have more in common with their opposite counterparts than they're willing to admit. And for me, that is why they should be opposed with the same vigor. SJWs really are the new fundie christians for younger generations, and this realization scares me. Same energy tbqh.
