In addition to what I just said, let me just give a special F U to those two congresspeople. Any time Biden wanted to do anything half way progressive, those two buttholes were always there shooting it down. Minimum wage, child tax credit, build back better. We never even saw Biden move on healthcare. Basically, Biden's presidency went down in flames in large part because of these folks. Because we had exactly 50 democratic senators, and 2 of them were closet republicans. They are the reason we're in this mess. Theyre the reason we're now facing electoral oblivion. Because democratic voters like it when democrats DO THINGS, and if anyone is more responsible for Biden's failures than Biden himself, it's them. Any time we could've had nice things they went all republican, became ANTI nice things, and we can't even freaking have a crappy child tax credit extension because of them. Holy crap, screw these people.
It's bad enough Biden was a centrist. But he did actually try to meet progressives half way, and I respect him for that. A huge reason I've softened on Biden since 2021 is in large part because I can see he's genuinely trying, he's just failing because of logjams in other parts of the government.
It goes without saying that SCOTUS and the GOP play an obvious role too, but honestly, I look at Biden's job performance IN SPITE of them, not BECAUSE of them. I blame the democrats for not passing even the items Biden wanted. We couldn't even get half measures, holy crap. Because of THOSE TWO PEOPLE in particular. Screw them. I hope they get run out of the job via primaries and we get better people in their place.
