I'm already seeing people talking about 2020 prospects and people are already floating the idea of Tim Kaine. I just want to nip this in the bud.
Long story short, if you run Tim Kaine, you're gonna make Donald Trump a two term president. The guy is totally unlikeable. He's less likeable than Clinton to me from a pure ideology/policy standpoint, and that's bad. He's a moderate, he's a centrist. I can't stand listening to him. He brings out no enthusiasm, he has all of the problems with Clinton outside of her scandals, and maybe even then he does.
Look. People are already starting to talk like Kaine is the legitimate successor in 2020 and that he will be the democratic party's hand picked nominee for president, and that it's his turn, like it was Clinton's turn this time. Let's not do that. If the dems force him on us, they will fail to galvanize the base, and they will lose to Trump again. If this election is 2000 all over again with Bush v. Gore, running Kaine would be like 2004 with Bush v. Kerry. Don't run a Kerry. Please don't run a Kerry. I'll have to vote third party again if you guys run a Kerry. And I'd prefer not to be forced to do that twice.
