So, I decided to start reading Kamala Harris's book from her 2020 run. And I'm going to be honest. It's BORING. So boring. Like, even Hillary's books that I've read were more interesting than this. The fact is, so far, it's light on policy, and it's heavy on personal stories. And that's actually kinda why Harris puts me to sleep when she talks. When she's not talking opportunity economies and handing over the farm to centrists on a silver platter, she's talking personal anecdotes and stories related to her background growing up. A LOT. ANd it bores me. Lady, I don't care about your history that much outside of a political context. I care about policy and ideology, and with me at least, any time she tries to be relatable, it doesn't work with me. I know some libs find this stuff "inspirational" and get so emotional like "omg I'm crying", and me I'm just bored, and drifting off while reading it.
Like, I dont go into my personal history a ton for a reason. Because I see my past as boring and fear people won't find it relatable. I have given glimpses of it, including recently where I went into how I inherited my views on work to some extent, but mostly did it as a counter to Harris's "super inspirational" stories that I find boring and bland AF. And yeah, I just wanted to talk about it a little. Because people act like this is OMG SO INSPIRATIONAL, and I just don't care. You can be an entrepreneur like Andrew Yang and as long as you get the right lessons and politics from that, I'm ok with it. And yeah, I just...don't resonate with this stuff emotionally. It's nice, but yeah, she doesn't come to the same outcomes as me, so it doesn't matter. It doesn't connect. I don't get people who love this stuff and find it soooo inspirational or whatever.

Another thing that doesn't resonate with me about Harris
