Donald Trump wants to throw NATO allies to the wolves

So, Donald Trump recently came out and said that he would not protect NATO allies that do not meet their yearly defense spending quotas. He even said that he would tell Russia that they can do whatever they want to them. NATO currently has a requirement that each country spend 2% on their own defense, and many countries fall short of this goal.

*deep breath*

WHAT THE ####ING ####?!?!?!

This is why Donald Trump is dangerous as president. While I can sympathize with wanting NATO allies to spend more on their own defense so we don't have to spend $900 billion a year, THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO HANDLE THIS! Donald Trump just gave an open invitation to Russia to attack NATO. Think about that for a second, take all of the time you need.

This is an issue that should be handled privately, behind closed doors. The coherence of NATO as an alliance should not be publicly in question. it sends the wrong signals to the wrong people and they can jump on this chaos to attack NATO states. This is unacceptable.

This is also why, by the way, I don't blame Biden for not publicly breaking with Israel despite their horrid treatment of Palestinians in the past 4 months, just for the record. Doing so could send the wrong signals to iran.

These are things people have to actually think about with foreign policy. Being principled is one thing but when your principles throw major alliances into question, they become a national security risk.

This is why this man cannot be made president again. He is a total idiot and a loon who has no idea what he's doing, and the fact that people want this guy back is baffling. I would've thought, after one term with this idiot, that people would be like "uh, yeah, let's never do that again, because this guy is an idiot/psycho". But here we are, looking down the barrel of a 91% chance that this guy is reelected. Wake up, America. This guy is gonna fricking start world war III in his incompetence.
