The only "reality" vote shamers need to understand

So, did I mention the left has a MASSIVE toxicity problem? They have a massive toxicity problem. And merely mentioning vote shaming sucks and is ineffective and alienating gets me insane ire like you wouldn't believe. I even voted for harris and these idiots STILL feel the need to self righteously argue with me. And one of them tried pulling their stupid "the REALITY of the situation is you only have two choices, that's REALITY", deal with it.

To which I say, F off with your idea of realities. As I always like to say, most of the time people use that language, they're trying to frame a situation in certain terms to coerce you to make a choice. And I'm deciding to fight back to laying down the real reality of the situation.

So with all of that said, the "reality" is this. When i voted for president this year, there weren't two options on the ballot. There were 4+. Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, Chase Oliver, Jill Stein, and maybe a few others, not sure if RFK was still on there or not, i wasn't exactly looking to vote third party. I know some states have gloria la riva on the ballot, or cornel west, etc. Point is, there are many options. And...last I checked, people can vote for any one of them. They can also choose to use their ballot as toilet paper and flush it down the drain. They can stay home and not vote at all. No one HAS to vote for anyone. Period. End of story.

And the more self righteous voter shamers try to FORCE people to make certain choices and try to "lay down the law" with these voters, the more they're gonna wanna tell you to go screw yourself. I know I would. Just trying that crap incenses me where I almost wanted to troll the person and say "I choose trump, go cry about it." But, because I'm not quite down at the level where I'd cut my nose to spite my face like the literal trumpers would, I won't do that. I already voted harris anyway.

But you know what? if it were 2016 and 2020, I'd vote for the greens whether this person liked it or not. And I would rub salt in the wounds and tell them to go cry about it on election day. And I can tell you, virtually every third party voter is just gonna wanna do the same. Because you dont own us, you dont control us, and your behavior is so arrogant and offputting, it makes us wanna dig in and ignore you and explicitly NOT listen to you.

And that's the reality YOU GUYS need to understand. No one is entitled to your vote. We live in a democracy. Votes need to be earned, they need to be freely given. If you try this coercive bullcrap, people will just go vote third party instead. Or they'll vote for Trump. All I know is they won't be voting for the person YOU want them to.

Heck, they might even vote for the other guy just to stick it to you. Again, we have a literal culture of "owning the libs" in this country. Because you guys are so insufferable that NO ONE FRICKING LIKES YOU. And if you wanna win elections, they're kinda popularity contests. People have to LIKE you. or at least tolerate you. But ideally like you. The fact that democrats are merely "tolerable" is why they always seem to lose. No one is motivated to go to the polls because they TOLERATE someone. They go to the polls because they wanna vote FOR someone. Not AGAINST someone. And third party voters, whether you like it or not, they're gonna vote for third parties if they hate either candidate. And there's nothing you can do about it. So stop trying.

This is why I just write off the free palestine kiddies. I say, ok, have fun doing your stupid little protest, I won't try to change your mind, I'll try to find other people to vote instead. I mean, if I felt like it was worth it, or the other person could be convinced, i could see trying to convince them. But if someone makes a specific policy demand, and they won't budge on it, all you can do is either...meet the policy demand or screw off and find other people to vote for you. And if the policy demand is absurd enough that you'd lose more voters than you'd gain by pursuing it, then those people can just be ignored. Plain and simple.

Every election, a few percent of the electorate vote third party. Most of the time, the democrats can do a good enough job to minimize that number. But there's always gonna be that 0.5-1% of people who just won't be on board. Nothing you can do. Republicans have their detractors too. Look at the libertarians. And look at how he responded to them. "Guess you wanna lose, have fun with your 3%", and then you tell them to have a nice life and move on. It's all you can do.

If these guys are enough of a problem where like the democrats, you keep losing elections because a certain segment of the population decides to vote third party every election, where you lost 2000 because of Ralph Nader, and 2016 because of Jill Stein, and 2024 because of Jill Stein again (if the election goes that way), well, that kind of speaks to a you problem.

Obviously, what you're doing electorally isn't working and you need to revamp your strategy. You either need to win more independent voters, who obviously have an issue voting for you, or you need to turn out your base, who obviously has an issue with voting for you. Or you need to turn out people from the other party, who probably arent gonna vote for you. The point is, the problem isnt the voters, it's YOU. It's something you're doing wrong. So you gotta figure out what it is, and course correct, pronto. We got a week left, 8 days technically, and we're down 0.5% in the electoral college. And possibly more because we're also losing the popular vote, which implies we're actually losing by 1.7-2.2% or so. So get your heads out of you know where, and back in the game. You're never gonna win those people over, and screaming at them and lecturing about "realities" is gonna do F all to make people wanna vote for you.

This isn't to say that I don't have issues with voters sometimes. Quite frankly, looking at how this crapshow is playing out, i think the average voter is dumb. But of course, screaming at them that they're dumb and they should vote for harris...isn't gonna make them vote for harris. if anything, it's gonna make them wanna vote for trump. So we need to meet these people where they are...somehow, and convince them. It's not an easy task. The democrats have, quite frankly, dug themselves into a hole on this one. And I would actually be saying it serves them right if the stakes werent this high this election.

I mean...let's be real. if Trump wins, we MIGHT not have free and fair elections going forward. Trump has the stalinesque mentality that it's not the voters who decide the election, it's those who count the votes. And he wants a system where republicans count the votes and award themselves the winner every time an election is held. And he talks about rooting out "the enemy from within" and punishing those who don't think like him. He's scary. He's a psychopath. And despite my high minded democratic values, even I have to say "yeah vote for Harris", because if we lose democracy, nothing else matters. We're sawing off the tree branch we're sitting on by voting third party this time.

And that's my closing argument to support Harris. Don't do it for the democrats. Dont do it for those crap for brains blue no matter whoers who act like toxic idiots online. Do it for yourself. Because how can you even begin to shift the system if democracy itself is abolished under a donald trump presidency? Just think about it. Do the right thing. So you can do what you think the right thing is in 2028.
