The future is now, old man!

So, we have a problem with the 2024 race. One of our candidates is way too old president. No, I'm not talking the guy who dropped out, although he was too old too. I'm talking about Donald Trump.

Donald Trump is 78 years old. The dude doesn't have the stamina to be president. He fell asleep in at his own convention, and in his own court proceedings. He's showing signs of dementia, where he confuses named like Nikki Haley and Nancy Pelosi. He rambles on for long periods of time incoherently, spewing words salads that make no sense. He's just old. He's too old. Literally every argument that could be made in favor of Biden dropping out can be applied equally as well to Donald Trump. And because Biden did just literally drop out presumably on the basis of his age, it's fair game to ask the same questions about whether Trump is able to lead this country. That's just how it is. How does it feel to be the old guy in the race now?

We should also talk about how this race is essentially now between an experienced criminal prosecutor, and an experienced criminal defendant. I know a lot of democrats love to rip on Kamala for being "a cop", but as someone who isn't "ACAB", I think a cop is explicitly what we need when dealing with a criminal president. Huh. The tables have turned.

Honestly, I know Harris's odds arent great, but this crap is writing itself. I think Trump is gonna regret pushing the age card so hard it pushed Biden out of the race. Because now he has to deal with this spry 59 year old criminal prosecutor, when he has every weakness and vulnerability Biden ever did, and then more. Now the left is the side of law and order. Now we're the one with a young candidate. The energy in the party is shifted. Idk how it will help with the polls, but I'm doing my part in shifting this energy. We are now more optimistic, and and not tied down by an ineffective 81 year old any more. Polling wise, I still think Biden dropping was a mistake, but in some ways it is allowing the internet to do its job making memes and pushing the race a certain way. There is organic energy behind Harris it seems and I'm swept up in it. K hive ftw! Never thought I'd say those words.
